From the estate of a Certified Master Watchmaker, our listings are just beginning! Tools, watches, parts, luxury watches, and more! VINTAGE SWISS ONE BUTTON CHRONOGRAPH CHRONOMETRE MILITARY PILOTS WATCH. This watch is ready to wear or to put in a special collection.

Dating back to between 1930 and 1954, this is a pilot style watch which has a telemetre as well as a tachymeter. The reason this watch is rare is because it is a mono pusher. This simply means that the start, stop, and flyback function all operate on the same button. The dial has a minor repair and the glass crystal has a tiny scratch below the 3:00 position. The watch bezel seems to be sterling silver, the center appears to be nickel, and the case back appears to be stainless steel or nickel plated.

Another reason we like this watch so much is its size. It measures 39mm without the crown or pusher. This allows for a very nice large diameter enamel dial.

Our watchmaker says that a Landeron 39 movement is a workhorse of the mono pusher style and this particular movement is really nice. The Landeron 39 uses a column wheel chronograph controller. See the pictures of the inside case back with a date of 8/6/44 and marked "LG".

This watch has been maintained nicely and shows no sign of ever having water inside even though it is not water resistant. So this is a very nice watch on a nice rich brown leather strap.

Runs very well, the minute counter hops at 58 seconds just like it should. We really like this watch the more we look at it. Colorful, historic, and very classy! This watch is from a very large collection that was amassed between the late 1980's and the mid 2000's. MAKE US A FAVORITE - WE ARE JUST BEGINNING OUR OFFERINGS.
