Vintage Seiko Gen 1 And Gen 2 Raf British Military Pilots Chronograph Set

Vintage Seiko Generation 1 and Generation 2 RAF pilots chronograph set. These are genuine British military issued wristwatches used by the RAF in the 1980s and 90s. The generation 1 was the first quartz chronograph used by the MOD which featured a quartz movement, also the Seiko cal 7A28 was the very first analogue quartz chronograph movement watch in the world.

The generation 2 being slightly bigger has different features from the Gen 1 which are 24hr display and sweeping chronograph hand. A ready made set here at a great price. Overall condition is very nice but please expect signs of use, these are genuine issued military watches so condition of the case is not perfect. The functions have been fully tested and all work perfectly including the chronograph reset functions.

A new Renata battery has just been fitted along with a new strap. The gen 1 has mineral glass while the Gen 2 has sapphire crystal.

I have not changed the seals in the crown, pushers or case back so please do not consider this watch. The movement is clean and tidy with no signs of corrosion or damage.
