The generation 1 was the first quartz chronograph used by the MOD which featured a quartz movement, also the Seiko cal 7A28 was the very first analogue quartz chronograph movement watch in the world. These watches are very popular and are a great investment, the issued 7a28s numbered just over 11,000 in total when commissioned by the MOD, how many are left I do not know. Movement parts for these watches are easy to find as Seiko used this robust movement in many non military watches too.
Overall condition is very nice but please expect signs of use, these are genuine issued military watches so condition of the case is not perfect. The functions have been fully tested and all work perfectly including the chronograph reset functions. A new Renata battery has just been fitted along with a new strap. Original spec mineral glass is in great condition. The case measures 37mm across not including the crown.I have not changed the seals in the crown, pushers or case back so please do not consider this watch. The movement is clean, tiny with no signs of corrosion or damage. If you need any more details please ask.
