WW1 H Williamson Ltd pocket watch. The watch has a seven-jewel stem-winding movement which is currently not working or winding. Williamson manufactured a variety of seven jewelled watches for the British armed forces around 1914.
They came with black luminescent dials and also white enamel dials. The watch itself measures 57mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is in good condition. Williamson watches had Dennison cases, which were made in England, but some were made by American companies like Elgin, and the serial number on the dial is repeated on the screw-on case back and also on the side of the watch on some examples, however this one does not have any markings on the side or on the caseback (May have not been issued, or may have been polished off). There are general small marks across the glass lens.
The signed dial has some marking across it commensurate with its age, the sub seconds hand is missing. This Pocket Watch is over 100 years old and needs a complete refurbishment by a watchmaker.
