1950s Elgin ORD American military vintage watch parkerized nylon and steel bands

Perfectly aged America military issued watch from the 1950s with the popular steel Parkerized non-reflective case, tan lumed mercedes hands and small sub seconds. Marked ORD CORPS on back, short for Ordnance Department.

Issued post WW2 and possibly during The Korean War. Very wearable size in the range of many military watches of the time period. By far one of the most attractive cases, far superior to the poor early plated WW2 cases housing similar Elgin ORDs. Case diameter is 32mm not counting the crown and 39.5mm lug top tip to bottom tip.

Perfect crystal free of scratches. Case finish is excellent, never polished, with crisp edges and a crown that matches the grey case finish. Our pictures are magnified 2.5X to show all conditions clearly, but keep in mind such macro pictures show things you won't notice in person. Great opportunity in the hot field of vintage military watch collecting to get an American military issued pilot's type wristwatch complete with new bands to wear it right out of the package.
